2: Keep your water bottle with you!

This is the biggest mistake people make. You have the full water bottle, but you forget to bring it with you!

Make your new water bottle your best friend, and actually drink it throughout the day!

3: Use An Alarm To Remind Yourself

Setting an alarm with your phone is a great way to remind yourself that you need to drink more water.

I set my alarm for every 2 hours, and make a point to drink at least two glasses before the next alarm goes off.

If you start this in the morning, you will have drank all the water from your bottle by dinnertime!

4: Eat Salty Foods

Snacking on salty foods will make you thirsty. It’s a no-brainer!

Thirst will encourage you to drink more water.

5: Add Water With Other Drinks

You don’t have to cut out coffee, tea, or your other favorite beverages.

If you want to drink a cup of coffee, add a glass of water with it. If you want a mixed cocktail, double it with water afterward.

This will also help you stay hydrated, and avoid hangovers, or even caffeine headaches.

6: Leave Yourself Reminders Around the House & Office

If you’ve forgotten to set your alarm, or your phone is on silent, this will help!

Leave yourself sticky note reminders in obvious places around your home or office. On the mirror, your keyboard, even the refrigerator.

Be sure to rotate them every so often to new places. This will help keep the reminders new!

7: Develop a Water Routine

Create a routine for your water drinking. Drink a glass every morning after you brush your teeth. Have another glass after you take the dog for a walk.

If you make a point to create times specifically to drink a glass of water, you’ll find it easier to keep drinking more water.

8: Add Flavor To Your Water

You don’t need to add sugary powders to make your water taste better. strawberries, cucumber slices, and even grapes can lightly flavor water.

Be creative, and infuse your water bottle with your favorite yummy fruit for natural taste enhancers!

9: Give Yourself Prizes or Penalties

You’re doing good with your water consumption! So treat yourself!

If you notice you’ve been drinking more water without a reminder, give yourself a prize with something you’ve been wanting.

But if you notice you’re slacking off? Well, avoid something you enjoy, like Reality TV binges, to create a better incentive for tomorrow.

10: Get an Accountabili-Buddy

Challenge a friend to drink more water with you.

Create a goal you both can meet, and check in with each other for reminders. Make it fun, and try to “beat” your friend and see who can drink more in a week’s time!
