Learning ASL With The Itty Bitty City New Educational Toy

Learning ASL Through Itty Bitty City’s New Educational Toy

Itty Bitty City is an educational play center. Their focus on early learning and educational toys have helped countless children!

Now, they need your help funding a new toy; one that will teach American Sign Language and Spelling at an early age!

This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own and not swayed in any way.

History Behind Itty Bitty City

Itty Bitty City

Starting out an education based play center, Itty Bitty City began with humble beginnings as a small business.

I’m a big advocate of learning through play, and children really do need play for healthy development.

Itty Bitty City understands this as well, and use role-playing and imaginative play to help kids develop necessary developmental strengths.

Finding success with their method of screen-free and creative play within the play centers, a toy line was created. Using Montessori, STEM and STEAM learning techniques.

Their first toy, the basic Magnetic Wooden Blocks, was a huge hit! Earning Itty Bitty City a “Dr. Toy’s Best Pick Award for quality, educationally oriented and stimulating new smart toy.”

The concept is simple; multicolored wooden blocks, encouraging creativity as children play.Itty Bitty City

The next goal is incorporating American Sign Language (ASL) into a new variation of the original Magnetic Blocks.

ASL Toys

There really aren’t enough toys on the market embracing American Sign Language.

Not only would this help children with difficulty hearing (or who are deaf). But give the ability to all children for better communication, and support early learning as well.

I believe this new concept by Itty Bitty City is something every parent can get behind, and every kid would enjoy!

The Alphabet & American Sign Language Magnetic Wooden Block Set

The blocks contain not only American English letters, but the ASL signs as well. There are double letters so children can learn to spell their own name – even if they have two “t’s!”

Many of the blocks also contain hidden sight words for preschoolers or kindergarteners, adding to the versatility of this new toy.

The blocks are small enough for little hands to easily grasp, yet too large for choking hazards.

The Kickstarter

Itty Bitty City has started a Kickstarter campaign to fund their new Alphabet & American Sign Language Magnetic Wooden Block Set. And they need your help!

With production set to begin May 2019, every little bit counts.

I think this is going to be an amazing toy that will help many children with their early education experience. I would love to see Itty Bitty City reach their goal so the new Alphabet & ASL Magnetic Blocks can be launched!

You can check out their Kickstarter here and the Itty Bitty City site to learn more, and hopefully, make a pledge!

  1. I recently started watching a show where half the main characters are deaf, so the other half are slowly trying to learn ASL, and I’m honestly fascinated. I’ve always wanted to learn another language, and to be able to communicate without words is something that could benefit a lot of people. I really wish sign language was taught in schools so everyone could learn it; I think it would really help bring everyone together.
