How Balance Is The Achievable Goal Of 2019

Need Balance?

You don’t have to totally revamp yourself to improve.

But Balance can be the ultimate goal for the New Year – and here’s how to achieve it.

Life has enough stresses…

You have your family, your career, and your personal time.

That’s a lot of juggling to do in only 24 hours.

Even stay at home moms can have trouble finding balance within the thousands of things they have to do every day.

If you’re trying to create a more level field within all the craziness of life’s responsibilities (and pleasures), take these tips to mind.

Put priorities in perspective…

It doesn’t matter if you’re a working parent, stay at home parent, or not even a parent at all.

Everyone has priorities, and its good to keep the most important ones in check.

Detail out the top priorities in your life, in order of importance.

For me, that’s taking care of my family, my work, and then myself.

I’m not saying your priority list should look like mine  I’m saying it needs to be compiled of the most important things to you.

The further down you find yourself placing things on this list, would ideally dictate how much time and effort you plan on putting into those things.

Don’t feel bad if you realize something you once were passionate about, like travel, is now lower on the list. We will be fixing that soon…

Determine Your Time Spent

Calculating how much time and energy spent on each priority, is important.

This can help you realize where you may be lacking focus and energy. Or, help to realize what priority is maybe using a bit too much.

If you come to the conclusion that for instance, your MLM side hustle, is stealing too much time from your (limited) self care routine, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is this worth such a high rank on my priority list?
  • Am I happy doing this?
  • What else could I be doing instead of this?

If you’re happy with your answers, then you know you don’t need to change anything. If not, you have some reflection to do.

It’s ok if you decide to reallocate time to others things for a while.

If you need to focus on career a little more, and limit time with your friends, that’s ok! If you decided to work extra hours on  the weekend so you can afford that nice family vacation in the summer, that’s ok too!

If something you once loved doing has taken a backseat to other things on your priority list, maybe it’s time to change things up a bit?

Balance means being flexible…

It’s hard to accomplish at times…but ultimately easier to achieve than most think.

Making adjustments to your schedules (and often, if needed) is the ultimate way to incorporate more balance into any hectic lifestyle.

And adjusting by your main priorities, and how much attention you want to focus on any particular one at that moment, is a great way of balancing out all the important aspects of Life.

One week you may feel more inclined to relax with the kids. Another week, you may have looming deadlines, and need to push through with work.

As long as you are willing to be honest with yourself, and make changes you are comfortable with?

There’s no reason you can’t find a more balanced way of life in the New Year.

It just takes a little self reflection, creativity, and perseverance.
