Pinterest Has Great Audience Potential!

And like every social media platform, you need to be active.

Juggling Motherhood and the role of Full-Time Blogger, this can be a daunting task. The appeal of scheduling Pins, tracking my Pinterest analytics, and reaching a new audience, is strong.

While automation isn’t for everyone, a Mommy Blogger will find automation tools to be a godsend! And Pinterest being one of the best ways to gain traffic, I needed help being active and current on the platform.

So, I decided to give Tailwind a try – and it’s honestly one of the best tools I can vouch for and recommend to serious bloggers!

What exactly is Tailwind?

Tailwind is a scheduling, monitoring, analytic tool designed for Pinterest. While they now have features for Instagram and Facebook, this post will just be on Pinterest itself.

I can easily schedule specific pins to post at optimal times to several different boards. Not only my pins – but any I find on the internet! Thus cutting down the time I need to pin manually. I can set my pins to schedule for the day (week, or month!) and forget about them! Figuratively, of course.

The calendar helps me keep track of the pins I have scheduled. I can also use the analytic tools to see which pins are performing better than others.

I can also track user engagement on my pins, and traffic going to my website.

Tailwind also gives me the ability to see trending topics and content, and find new pins from other users that my followers are interested in. This makes it a must-have tool for content optimization!

The browser extensions make Tailwind even easier to use – so I can schedule pins from any site I’m on automatically! Scheduling from Pinterest is made easier with the Tailwind Extension too – if I don’t want to manually pin, and need content to fill my scheduling queue, I can save to Tailwind right from Pinterest!

What are Tribes?

Tribes are a feature of Tailwind that makes exposing your blog to a new audience even easier – as well as finding new content for your own followers, from other bloggers!

Like every social media platform, it isn’t good to only share your own content – you need to share others! This prevents you from looking spammy, and keeps followers engaged.

Tribes are usually set up to be niche driven. You can join one to find other content from bloggers within the same niche you are. Everyone in the tribe shares their own pins to the tribe. In turn, they share others!

Which makes filling your scheduler super easy! You can schedule new content for your followers, helping increase exposure for other bloggers (as they are doing the same for you).

Added bonus of sharing other’s content? If you notice a trending topic that others have covered, and don’t know if it’s something your own audience will really love?  You can test the waters by sharing other’s pins, and if you receive good engagement, then you know it’s something you can include within your blog as well!

Ok, so how much time have you really saved?

A ton! While I still live pin on Pinterest, look for interesting accounts to follow, and keep up with trends, there’s one thing I don’t have to worry about. And that’s the pinning of just solely my content.

Just a few minutes of the day, and I can have my scheduler filled for over a week! If I find something new, I can just add it to my queue!

Makes the balance of Life and Blogging that much easier, and I have extra time for other important things!

So what does it cost?

Packages vary depending on how much you want to schedule, how many tribes you want to join, and how many pins of your own you want to submit to said tribes.

The most basic package, which I personally recommend for an blogger, starts at $10/month. You can schedule up to 400 pins a month, join 5 tribes, and have 30 monthly tribe submissions.

If you need to be able to pin more, join more tribes, or get more tribe submissions, you can get a powerup on your plan – and yes, they have annual packages too if monthly isn’t your thing (and you save money!)

Is it really worth it?

Yessss and I’m not just saying that. While every blogger has different goals and needs, take it from me.

if you’re serious about blogging, at some point you need to start really investing in your blog. And I’m not just talking money. You need to invest your time as well! making the best use of your time is paramount.

Tailwind is seriously the best way to stay on top of Pinterest, and the most return of your time. It doesn’t take much time to schedule out everything you would normally spend hours pinning and searching for.

Plus, the reach potential you receive when using Tribes, is worth a Tailwind subscription alone! It’s the ultimate way to connect with accounts in the same niche you are, and gain exposure to Pinterest users that may be interested in your content as well!

Also, Tailwind is approved by Pinterest – so unlike other third-party scheduling tools, you won’t have to worry about your account being penalized for spammy activity. Which also helps with my original point of sharing others content, and not just your own. Since TailwInd gives you the ability to find new content that much easier, why not take advantage?
