Blogger Recognition Award 2017

Blogger Recognition Award

I am so happy to have received not one, but three nominations for the 2017 Blogger Recognition Award!

Stacy Taylor from Taylor411, Daniella Hearts from Happy Chaos Family, and Elizabeth Voyles of Worth Writing For – three amazing bloggers who’s posts I always enjoy reading! Thank you ladies, for choosing community over competition!

I began blogging as a way to not only keep awake at night during feedings, but a way to have a creative outlet within the isolating world of Motherhood. My only goal was to try to reach out and help, even if just one person, with my experiences as a new Mother. Now over a year later, this little blog has grown so much bigger than I ever could have anticipated. And a big part of that, is through the blogging community. Without the support and advice I’ve received from other bloggers, I don’t think this blog could ever have gotten so far!

Advice For New Bloggers

Don’t Compare Yourself to Other Bloggers!

Success cannot be measured by the same means for one person, to another. Your number of followers doesn’t mean success. Your number of page views, or amount of money earned doesn’t either. If you feel successful, that’s all that matters. The grass is always greener on the other side, and that goes with blogging, as well.

Remember Why You Started

You have to keep this in mind when feeling most discouraged-and the most psyched! It’s too easy to lose sight of the reason you began blogging, when you focus on what other’s are doing. Stay in your lane!

BONUS ADVICE!

Don’t Believe Everything You See

In today’s world of social media, this is incredibly important. When you can’t think of content, pictures don’t look quite right, and you’ve become frustrated with not having enough hours in the day to work on your blog AND have a normal life, remember this; Those bloggers you envy? They have the same problems. But in perfect Instagram feeds and Facebook posts, they just don’t let you know it.
