If you are a crunchy mom, or a member of the cloth diaper community, chances are you have. And amongst the environmentally conscious, many women are turning to reusable products for nearly everything in their home! But what exactly is “Mama Cloth?”
Basically, reusable cloth pads for your…you know..ladies’s time.
Bear with me…this won’t be a gross post! But I did try the controversial hygiene products, and if you’re ever considering them, here’s some things to take into consideration…
Organizing For Your Lifestyle: Adaptable Inspirations from Socks to Suitcases

Running a household is but one of the many hats a wife and mother wears. And, as I can give a testimony to this; it can be a scene of complete chaos at times. Before I had children, I was definitely more organized than I am now. But somewhere along the line, I did turn into one of those people who piles laundry on the floor. And misplaces random objects. I also have entire drawers filled with unfinished projects. 100% Guilty.
We are anticipating a big move sometime in the near future, which means I’ll need to pack up this house full of stuff, and relocate four hours away. With that in mind, I’ve been really amping up my organizing and downsizing abilities. Or, jump starting them, really.
That’s one reason I was delighted to read the new book by Jane Stoller – “Organizing For Your Lifestyle: Adaptable Inspirations from Socks to Suitcases.”

Parenting In The Real World
Everyone has their own opinions on the best ways to parent – much like everyone has their own way of boiling an egg. Whatever it takes to get the job done – and no way is any better than other. But, it never hurts to gain perspective on someone else’s method. I had the chance to review the new book, it’s full title being “Parenting In The Real World; The Rules Have Changed. Drop The Guilt. Handle Any Parenting Situation in 7 Simple Steps.” A mouthful-but isn’t that what parenting is? Continue reading “Parenting In The Real World – Book Review”
As we all know, Mothers need coffee. I have a few select favorite coffee mugs, and cherish each one for the job it does. Hey, #CoffeeLove is real.
So I was super excited to receive this personalized coffee mug, from 5amily.com – and I think this would make an excellent gift for that special coffee addicted woman in anyone’s life!
This is a sponsored product review by 5amily.com -All opinions are 100% my own and not swayed in any way.
The coffee mugs 5amily.com makes are of a high quality ceramic, and are microwave and dishwasher safe. Which is ideal – because Moms are usually too busy to actually enjoy a warm cup of anything! That coffee is repeatedly nuked until it’s consumed.
I Love its design, because it’s perfectly appropriate for any age – this is something you could get your wife, girlfriend, grandmother, best friend – its super cute, and very well-printed. It’s not overly romantic for Valentine’s Day, but would still fit the bill. Not to mention Mother’s Day, which will also be here before you know it.
Personalize a Coffee Mug!
Just the fact this can be personalized, gives the coffee mug a nice touch. Perfect gift idea! And the site has a variety of other designs to choose from, and all can be designed with any name you choose. Which is perfect for those of us (like me!) who never find their name on anything!
You can also find an array of t-shirts, phone cases, and other awesome gift ideas. But, I’m totally loving my new mug! I no longer have to fight over “which cup of coffee” is actually mine, because Yes Dear Husband-mine does have my name on it!
Guys, take a seat. Ladies, let’s talk about Aunt Flo…
Not something we necessarily want to talk about – but it is a part of life. And honestly, having your period sucks for a variety of reasons. But it really sucks for your panties. And aside from ruining your favorite pair, it also sucks during this time of the month if you have skin allergies. Or PH balance issues. Not to mention if you just went through childbirth, or gynecological surgery!
So, as I’ve been hearing a lot about the new line of feminine products that Genial Day offers, you can imagine how excited I was to do an unboxing last week!
Pads, Liners…and “Period Panties”
I received Regular liners, Low Flow pads, and Heavy Flow pads, to use with the EiVi panties. They are specifically designed to help reduce odor and bacteria growth. A Tourmaline Mineral is used within the inner strip of the pad, protecting the reproductive system from harmful bacteria found in what the liners catch. This mineral aso helps balance your PH level, boosts your metabolism, and is said to help the body naturally repair and heal faster during “that time of the month.”
So just the pads and liners themselves, are great for those who suffer from irritation, heavy flow, and painful/irregular periods. I thought they were super thin, but actually did a great job!
The EiVi Panties themselves (available in several models and colors) are made of organic cotton, with a special finish that blocks the spread of bacteria as well. They are also designed with little pockets that help hide the wings of the pads/liners.
What were the EiVi panties like?
Extremely comfortable! I thought they were very well made, and wouldn’t mind wearing them all the time. The pocket for the wings, is actually quite genius. I’m not sure if you could use any kind of pad/liner with these, since I used specifically the Genial Day brand products together, but I can say at least one thing. As far as Aunt Flo goes, her visit wasn’t entirely uncomfortable using these products.
Another plus for the eco-conscious;these products have been tested for harmful chemicals, and contain none!
